Offseason, Preseason...who gives a s***!

Here's a rundown of what I think of each team thus far as we enter Week 4 of preseason...

Atlanta Falcons: I've liked what I've seen from rookie QB Matt Ryan. So far, he's show a lot of accuracy from the pocket and on the run and has show a nice repour with WR Roddy White, who has become a forgetton man amongst the Michael Vick mess despite his decent 2007 campaign. I'm not saying the Falcons will be in the playoffs by any means, but they'll definitely be better, especially with the additions of RB Michael Turner, who has a knack for always falling forward and getting those extra yards, but it should be a long process on the defensive side of the ball as the group adjusts to head coach Mike Smith.

Arizona Cardinals: At last, the Cardinals realize Matt Leinart blows (and as a Jets fan, I can't be any happier in hindsight that they chose not to select the former Trojan with the No. 4 pick in the 2006 NFL Draft)! Quarterback Kurt Warner has earned this job since becoming the no-huddle guy last fall, so it's no surprise that head coach Ken Whisenhunt decided to go with the former ringleader of the Greatest Show on Turf as his man. The besides losing Calvin Pace (who's looked good in Gang Green so far) and Bryant Johnson, the Cardinals return most of their talent and should cause some sort of fraucus in the NFC's bitch division. Another year under the 3-4 defense should help emerging stars Darnell Dockett and Karlos Dansby as they'll look to apply more pressure with multiple fronts. Also, keep an eye out for rookie running back Tim Hightower, who's looking like a certifiable power back behind vetern runner Edgerin James.

Baltimore Ravens: This team might wind up being the most horrid, boring team to watch in 2008. With an aging defense, an injured Willis McGahee and an unsettling quarterback situation, the Ravens and their fans shouldn't be expecting anything more than 5-6 wins. Are they any better than Pittsburgh? No. Cleveland? No. The only team in their division they may have a shot at beating at least once is Cincinnati, and that's not even a guarantee. Not much to talk about here, folks, as it appears new head coach John Harbaugh has his work cut out for him. However, I wouldnt' fret for the Ravens' sake as they have one of the best GMs in Ozzie Newsome who's surrounded by some of the best talent evaluators in the NFL.

Buffalo Bills: It's funny how this team has become such a media darling after ranking in the lower half of every statistical category in 2007 and not making many significant veteran additions to a team ridden with youth. Yeah, they added talented corner Leodis McKelvin and and big-bodied wide receiver James Hardy with their first two picks in the draft but pro bowl left tackle Jason Peters is M.I.A. and might even miss an early portion of the regular season while Langston Walker, the other tackle, is nursing an elbow injury. I almost forgot they acquired Marcus Stroud because to be honest I don't seem him performing like he did when he was with Jacksonville--there's a reason why Jack Del Rio had no problem saying, "Adios!" to one-half of the Twin Towers. Also, let's not kid ourselves with Trent Edwards--the guy has looked okay for the most part. Maybe I'm underselling the Bills because no one other than Marshawn Lynch, Lee Evans and Terrance McGee sticks out as an explosive game changer but I feel that a team with marginal talent that' s been slapped with playoff expectations may falter under pressure.

More on the rest of the NFL's alphabet...
