There’s been some bad behavior displayed by some NFL players this past week and a half, as a couple of these incidents include a well-known repeat offender and some new perpetrators of questionable choices.
First off, let’s get into the egregious saga that has become Chris Henry’s life. The former Bengals wide receiver was charged with punching an 18-year-old man (questionable if this “man” is actually such if he’s getting into altercations with this miscreant) and throwing a beer bottle threw the window of the man’s car.
Henry’s sobriety hasn’t been questioned as of yet, but I can’t help but to think that other factors other than bad character are taking a major role in the talent wideout’s life.
Anyways, Henry had to spend an extra night in jail because there were no electric house arrest bracelets on-hand to apply to the former Mountaineer—talk about piling it on strong.
The prognosis on Henry’s career—over. It’s hard to imagine Roger Goodell giving the player another chance due to his track record in handling situations like these and Henry’s history.
Now on to Broncos wide receiver Brandon Marshall, who is suffering from a cut on his right forearm after slipping on a McDonalds’ bag and falling into a television set while wrestling with a brother.
You’re now the go-to-guy for the Denver Broncos and you’re willing to give up your body to play around with your brother in the offseason?
Jay Cutler is right to rip into this guy—not only are the Broncos going to miss Marshall if his injury lingers into the regular season, but Cutler’s production may suffer if he isn’t able to get back the big-bodied wide receiver in time when it counts.
Last but not least, cornerback Kenny Wright was just released after trying to elude police officers by foot after being found with marijuana. I guess Wright couldn’t outrun the police any better than he could covering receivers.
